Dear Suz:
Yes, I have wonderful memories of Freddie.  I first met him when I was working for Time Inc., (before it became Time/Warner, Inc.).  People magazine was a young publication at the time and we were doing a story on Freddie and his “instant” success.  I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to spend some time with him.  I found him charming, funny, personable and very attractive.  He was a young man with so much and seemed grateful for all he had.  The second time I met him was at a party given by People Magazine.  Again, luck of the draw put me at the same table and seated me next to him.  We talked for hours about his life, loves, etc.  We danced (he’s was a fabulous dancer, I don’t know if many knew that about him) and sang all night.  When we parted that evening he gave me a medallion he wore around his neck and told me to give it to my daughter (she was just 2 at the time), which I did.  She still has it to this day.

Upon the news of his death, I went into a deep depression.  Having known this wonderful man and then losing him was one of the saddest days of my life.  I still visit him and place flowers at his grave at the mausoleum on the anniversaries of his birth, the day we first met and his death.   I miss him still….
Thank you for listening.
